Giuseppe Conte called the relations between Italy and Russia “delicate”

Recently Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has visited Moscow.

During the visit the guest of honour succeeded in many ways: he has met with Dmitry Medvedev in the White House and Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, he discussed a great deal of current issues with top officials of the state and even, in the way unexpected for everyone, paid a visit to the World of Skin exhibition held at the Expocentre.

At the meeting held in a select company (made of Sergey Lavrov, Yury Ushakov, Italian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Pasquale Terracciano and advisor on international affairs Pietro Benassi), Mr. Conte described the relationships between the two countries as delicate.
Moreover, the Italian Prime Minister has invited the leader of the Russian Federation to stay in Italy calling for more attention to the people of the country.

Another business event followed the talks – a meeting with representatives of business circles of two states. This country was represented by the head of Rosneft company, Igor Sechin and Sergey Chemizov, the Italian side was represented by Gianni Armani and Guido Barilla. Once again the talks were held in respect to improving the conditions of cooperation between two countries and new agreements.

Mr. Conte has noted that Italian companies had never intended to leave Russia. Moreover, the Prime Minister has noted that there was need for Russia when developing strategies for resolving major international crises.
